"The 2024 SHIFT business festival was a great experience, where experts from different fields could network with each other and listen to more interesting talks from professionals in different fields. The most memorable of the speakers was André Noël Chaker, who spoke first after the opening speech. Although the Canadian-born Chaker has lived in Finland for twenty years, his speech has a clear accent. Despite the grammar mistakes and the accent (or maybe because of them), the presentation about success was captivating to listen to. Chaker clearly knew his stuff and seemed to be excited about being able to share his expertise with experts in many fields. At the end of the presentation, he asked everyone to stand up, take hold of their neighbor's shoulders and sing the Sankareita of J. Karjalainen with slightly modified lyrics.
The best thing about SHIFT, in my opinion, was the Matchmaking encounters; before the start of the festival, participants had the opportunity to arrange a 15-minute meeting with any other participant through SHIFT's application to discuss any agreed topic between earth and sky. I personally had 7 of these meetings, from which I got a lot out of all of them, both in terms of Pulmaton and personally. Random encounters with experts from different fields around the festival were also eye-opening experiences.
The festival also had a so-called SHIFT race. The Race was a round of ticks with different tasks such as math tasks, being photographed, music and tasting smoothies. The ticker tour produced by Videobot brought a nice little activity to the festival in addition to all the buzz and networking, and on the other hand, it gave more opportunities to meet people from different fields at different tickers."
