An agile software company is looking for a software developer that is eager to learn.
With Pulmaton, software developers both design new solutions and maintain our existing software. We create customized software for our long-term customers designed to last years.
Our work is organized into a weekly development cycle, but we are always flexible about this as needed. We write most of the code new for each need, although we use different library components and previously developed solutions as part of our work whenever possible. Integrations with own or third-party solutions bring interesting angles to the process.
In a small organization, each of us has an important role in every phase of the software project, both in planning, implementation, testing, documentation and maintenance. Working days are rarely the same, as work tasks vary according to the needs of different projects. Even if it is sometimes necessary to hold meetings, we still get to focus most of the working time on what a software developer does best - software development.
What we need from you?
We hope that you have an education from the software engineering field, or years of work experience. We consider Ruby on Rails experience a particular advantage, but we also consider candidates with other programming language experience. Also experience with various database servers and cloud platforms is an advantage.
You must be able to act both as a part of a small team and completely independently without supervision. The job requires good written English skills. The work may also include some communication with the customer's contact persons via e-mail and phone, but this can be done in English or Swedish if you do not have full professional profiency in Finnish.
